The African Caribbean Leukemia Trust (ACLT) was set up fourteen years ago in response to a lack of donors from certain ethnic backgrounds being on the bone marrow register.
Orin Lewis founded the charity with his wife Beverly when their son Daniel was given a one in 250,000 chance of finding a donor.
Today the charity works to recruit blood and bone marrow donors from all backgrounds and has worldwide influence over the internet.
Sadly Daniel died in 2008. Here Orin tells his story.
